All children, without exception, should be given the opportunity to succeed

Universal Center for Children and Youth Development (UNICCHYD) is a non-governmental and not for profit organization, devoted to alleviating the plight of disadvantaged and at-risk children and youths.

The Center provides assistance for orphaned and abandoned children with great potentials but little resource, and supports them for their education and other needs. The Centre was conceived in 2004 with the purpose of meeting the above objectives in Southwest Nigeria, but it has since expanded its activities to meeting similar needs in other communities in other parts of Nigeria as well. Among other things, the Center also provides guidance and counseling for troubled youths, including pregnant teens, and juvenile delinquents.

The organization is incorporated in Nigeria by the Federal Government of Nigeria as a company guaranteed by trustees, with registration license RC 744850. It was incorporated in 2008.

What we do and the future we see

Our mission is to disallow lack of financial resource to prevent young people with brilliant ideas from realizing their full potentials, educationally or vocationally.

UNICCHYD’s vision is to create a world class non-governmental that will work at the grass-root to identify children and youths with great potentials but little resource and provide means for them to achieve their dreams and attain their full potentials. We will remain a non-profit organization, without racial, religious, or gender bias.

The things we want to achieve

Education Sponsorship

To identify children and youths with great potentials but little resource and provide means for them to acquire needed formal or vocational education through a child sponsorship program or a family sponsorship program in some cases.

Financial Assistance

To provide financial assistance, useful information and welfare materials for needy youths and children, especially those of indigent parents. Between the ages of 6 and 18.

Guidance and Counseling

To provide guidance and counseling for troubled youths, including pregnant teens and juvenile delinquents.

International Collaboration

To collaborate with other local or international organizations to raise awareness of the plight of at-risk children and youths in Nigeria and to fundraise for their support.
